Daniel Craig “The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo” Remake

From the Secret Agent with a License to Kill to the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo: Daniel Craig will star as Mikael Blomkvist in the forthcoming remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

The deal also locks down the former Bond actor for two sequels based on Stieg Larsson’s novels The Girl Who Played With Fire and The Girl Who Kicked The Hornets’ Nest, Deadline.com dished this week.

Earlier this year, the first book in Larsson’s Millennium Trilogy was made into a film in the writer’s native country Sweden, but American filmmakers are planning their own big budget version of the story.

Lensman David Fincher and producer Scott Rudin are working on casting the role of Lisbeth Salander; actresses Ellen Page, Mia Wasikowska, Emily Browning, Sara Snook, Rooney Mara, and Sophie Lowe are being courted for that role.
