Daniel Radcliffe lands role in remake of 1930 World War movie

English actor Daniel Radcliffe has landed the lead role in the remake of the 1930 war movie ‘All Quiet On The Western Front’.

The shooting of the movie is expected to begin in 2012.

The Harry Potter will play the role of World War One German soldier Paul Baumer, a teenager who joins the army and learns the full horror of battle.

“When we realised how much Daniel loved the script we were really excited,” The Sun quoted producer Ian Stokell as saying.
