Deadpool Rumored to Appear in Wolverine Movie, 'Logan'

Looks like the fans may get their wish after all.

The first time Deadpool appeared in a Wolverine movie, it didn’t do either character justice. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Ryan Reynolds portrayed a version of Deadpool that was almost unrecognizable from the comics; one that looked wildly different and came without his trademark wit and charisma.

That all changed when Reynolds got the chance to do it all again, reprising the character — this time as a version much closer to the one from the comics — subsequently churning out one of 2016’s biggest hits and successfully launching what will no doubt become a new era of R-rated superhero movies. And now, thanks to an incredible amount of fan demand, it looks as if Deadpool and Wolverine may reunite, if only briefly.

A new report from The Wrap claims Ryan Reynolds has filmed a scene as Deadpool for the upcoming Wolverine movie, Logan. While not certain what the scene is or how it plays into the film, they do claim Deadpool 2 director David Leitch shot the scene in question and that it will most likely come as part of some post-credits stinger.

Wolverine is an arch-nemesis of Deadpool, and the success of the new Deadpool movie fueled immense fan support for the two characters to again appear in a movie together, only this time in a way that honors the more current R-rated incarnations of each character (Logan, like Deadpool, will be rated R). Whether this will lead to Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine for another go-round with Deadpool, we do not know. As of now it is thought that Logan will be the final outing for Jackman as the popular X-Men character, but maybe he’s had second thoughts.

Or maybe he’s giving fans a taste of what could’ve been before his Wolverine rides off into the sunset.

We’ll find out when Logan drops into theaters on March 3. And speaking of sunsets, check out the newly released Logan poster below. The next trailer for the film is expected to arrive in January.
