The King of Rock n’ Roll is being immortalized again — this time as Mr. Potato Head! The estate of Elvis Presley has signed of a deal with Hasbro Inc. and PPW Toys to manufacture and sell an all new Elvis Mr. Potato Head, which will be released during Elvis Tribute Week in August.
The Elvis Presley version of Mr. Potato Head will be wearing a white jumpsuit, sunshades, and holding a guitar; a common costume for the “Hound Dog” hitmaker in the twilight of his life. A second Elvis Presley Mr. Potato Head toy — dressed in a black leather getup similar to the outfit Elvis wore in his 1968 Comeback Special — is due out in time for Christmas.
Both toys will retail for about $20 each.
