Eva Longoria Parker to join upcoming ”Avengers” movie?

”Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria Parker may join the upcoming ”Avengers” movie as super-heroine The Wasp.

The star has reportedly met the film”s bosses and discussed the role in the comic book blockbuster, which will bring together characters including Robert Downey, Jr.”s Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor and Captain America.

“Marvel is in negotiations with Eva and she is just right for the role. First, she read for the part, then she went into the studio for camera tests,” the Daily Star quoted a source as telling Fox News.

“The team liked her for The Wasp so much that she did green screen work in the late spring. She”s perfect in size and attitude. Eva is cute, sexy and full of energy for the part. The character is a bit like Gabby, her character on Desperate Housewives,” source added.

”The Avengers” is set for release in 2012.
