Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg won’t be “friending” a new Sony drama chronicling his rise from Harvard freshmen to one of the world’s youngest billionaires.

Zuckerberg, 26, is not happy about the way he’s portrayed in a much-buzzed-about movie chronicling the creation of Facebook.com. David Fincher’s The Social Network paints a hardly flattering portrait of the boy billionaire, who founded Facebook while a student at America’s most respected institution of higher learning.

“I started Facebook to improve the world, and make it a more transparent place,” Zuckerberg told WaxWorld.com last month. “This movie portrays me as someone who built Facebook so I could meet girls….We would have cooperated with them if they could have made a movie that was the real story.”

Facebook’s founders insists the film’s writers have got their mission all wrong, but after considering legal action, Zuckerberg and his partners decided to simply “ignore” the feature.

Let’s see if the rest of the world does the same. The Social Nework — starring Rashida Jones, Andrew Garfield, and Justin Timberlake — opens in theaters Oct. 1.
