The bizarre land that Emma (Jennifer Morrison) and Regina (Lana Parrilla) have found themselves in on “Once Upon A Time” has presented us with a bit of a conundrum. Is this wish world an alternate reality, with totally real people and places? Or is it a constructed figment of Emma’s imagination, full of “wish people” and “wish places” that aren’t actual real?
On the one hand, we’d hope that nothing and no one in that world is real, given that Regina ripped out Snow (Ginnifer Goodwin) and David’s (Josh Dallas) hearts in a bid to get Emma to remember herself.

If those Charmings were real, then Regina’s got some ‘splainin to do. Murdering fake people is dark, but accidentally murdering real people you thought were fake is just a whole different kind of messed up.
This question also presents a bit of an issue with the newly returned Robin Hood (Sean Maguire).
Whether or not he’s real, we totally understand Regina’s inability to jump through the magic bean portal to go back home. There’s nothing like your resurrected true love — who happens to have no clue who you are — to make you hesitate on your return trip.
Regardless, we’re more curious than ever about how “OUAT” will broach this issue. Obviously Outlaw Queen fans would prefer if this new Robin were real, in the hopes that Regina could have her true love back — even if she has to get to know the new Robin and figure out a way to make him fall in love with her again. What fan would turn down the chance to see their favorite couple get a total do-over — especially in such a classic fairytale fashion?

On the other hand, Robin can’t actually be real, right? We can’t go picking and choosing which wish world people are real, after all.
That leaves us with an impossible dilemma. Either Robin is fake, and Regina is about put herself through torture, forced to interact with an imaginary embodiment of her true love only to leave him behind later — or Robin is real, and Regina should be in Enchanted Forest jail for murder.
“Once Upon a Time” will return in March of 2017.
