Ouch! Actor Hugh Jackman was injured and served a black eye after he crash landed while riding a flying fox during filming of The Oprah Winfrey Show in Sydney on Monday.

The accident occured when Jackman jumped off the Sydney Opera House and “flew” onto the stage and crashed into a light rigging while gliding down a cable. Live television cameras showed Jackman sliding down the cable from the top of the Opera House towards a giant outdoor stage, but he failed to stop, crashing into the stage’s light rigging and injuring his face and back.

Winfrey was forced to call four paramedics on stage to treat Jackman.

“We should get a doctor up here,” said the concerned Queen of Talk.

“Let’s take a break and get some ice … then get his eye fixed up.”

The star was taken off stage for treatment while Winfrey entertained the crowd.

Jackman returned to the stage a short time later with a small bandage under his bruised eye. Hugh blamed the botched stunt on the excitement of the affair: He accidentially hit the brake too late.

“That was so much fun, until the end,” joked Jackman, famed for his tough role in films like X Men and Wolverine role.
