A reunion could be in the cards for Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift after the exes were spotted sharing a meal in the singer’s native Nashville earlier this week?

Jake, 30, is believed to have ended the former couple’s two-month relationship just before Christmas. Word on the Curb was that their nine-year age gap and the intense media attention that they were attracting as a couple. Taylor, who endured a high-profile split with Joe Jonas in 2008, was so “upset and hurt” by the breakup she was left unable to eat.

So how interesting is it that the pair were spotted at a restaurant near Taylor’s Nashville condo on Wednesday night.

An onlooker told PEOPLE Magazine: “They did eat. They were cordial to one another, but not affectionate.”

“There was no holding hands, but they seemed happy together. They sat next to the fireplace just chatting away,” another diner added.
