On the pages of the new issue of Grazia Magazine, friends of the Eternally Single Girl Next Door finally confess what we knew the moment she took up with John Mayer: Homegirl has disastrous taste in men. This time, it’s mockumentary star Joaquin Phoenix who has allegedly sent Aniston’s pheromones flying. Snoops say the actress, 42, has a “huge crush” on Joaquin and has been toying with the idea of dating the quirky actor ever since the pair met at a screening of Joaquin’s documentary — I’m Still Here — in August. Upon their first meeting, the previously bearded kook mentioned that he is looking for a movie project, so Jennifer asked if he’d be interested in auditioning for a role in her new movie musical The Goree Girls.

A friendship was born.

Jen’s anxious about the chance to work with Joaquin — but she’s even more excited by the thought of being worked over by him, a source told Grazia.

“He’s single, funny and handsome, and she likes that he is a bit kooky. There have been calls, texts and emails to set up a meeting – ostensibly to cast him in a new movie project – but apparently Jen just wants to spend more time with him because he’s her huge crush,” the tipster added. “Even if this was strictly a business meeting, Jen walked away like a love-struck schoolgirl. She’s had a crush on him from a distance for a long time, but after meeting him, she was fascinated by his charisma and presence.”

Joaquin, 35, is said to be reluctant to get involved in a high-profile romance with Jennifer, but does enjoy her company and he’s flattered that she’s interested.

“They certainly seemed to get on, but he likes to keep a very low-profile, so a romance with Jen would be difficult. However, she’s one of the most eligible girls in Hollywood, so it’s certainly not out of the question that they could become a couple.”
