Before the Oscar nomination, Dior contract, Katniss craze and Vanity Fair cover (check that one out below), Jennifer Lawrence was just another pretty young thing trying to make it in Hollywood. And that pre-buzz era actually wasn’t that long ago.
In 2007, Lawrence was 17 years old with a small smattering of movie credentials under her belt, and as the photo to the left proves, she didn’t have quite the same sense of style she has now.
Lawrence wore a textured satin strapless mini with tulle lining, plus kitten-heel sling-back sandals and shiny danglers, to the 2007 Movieguide Awards in Beverly Hills. It’s a look that, in retrospect, seemed better suited for her high school’s homecoming than the red carpet.
Bad shoes aside, the star still looked gorgeous (even in that less-than-groundbreaking outfit), but there’s no question that Lawrence has done a total 180 and transformed into a bombshell movie star. Just look at that Vanity Fair cover!
