Katy Perry puts on ‘Birthday’ spectacle at the Billboard Music Awards 2014

Katy Perry pre-taped a performance for the
2014 Billboard Music Awards and the offering can only be described as a vomiting of neon colors swirling around a giant cake while performing her “Birthday” song. But the pinnacle was when she took off on a flying harness and asked the audience, “Who wants a ride?” Presumably many, many people.

An audience member whose birthday is today (May 18) also got in on the fun, as Perry dragged her up on stage to be the centerpiece of the maypole-and-stripper set. It was quite the spectacle.
