Back in September, Kim Kardashian told PEOPLE.com that she had big fashion plans for the fall: to wear capes.
The leaves fell, Thanksgiving passed, Christmas came and went, the ball dropped … and still no Kim-in-cape sighting. But all that changed Tuesday when the star stepped out in Paris.
Kardashian wore yep, a cape. She donned the Superman-inspired outerwear with an equally eye-catching scarf, black pants and peep-toe booties while shopping with her boyfriend, Kanye West, in the City of Light. (In true Kimye fashion, West coordinated with Kardashian his own statement topper — an oversize black blazer — worn with a T-shirt.)
But this was no Gwyneth-in-Tom-Ford-at-the-Oscars cape. Instead, the mom-to-be opted for a sportier version, one that almost resembled a black zip-up sweatshirt. We couldn’t think of a more perfect piece of outerwear for a fashion-forward expectant star considering it’s roomy and avant-garde. We bet West approves.
