Margaret Cho Says Sarah Palin “Forced” Bristol To Join “Dancing With The Stars”

For someone with all the rhythm of a wet noodle, Bristol Palin hoofed her way to an unlikely success on the 11th season of Dancing With the Stars. Although she lost the coveted Mirrorball Trophy (Rightfully so…) to the more deserving Jennifer Grey, Bristol finished third on the ballroom dancing competition.

Not too shabby.

But let comedienne Margaret Cho tell it, Bristol only laced up her dancing shoes for DWTS after her famous mom told her to. We hear Sarah Palin blames the unwed mother for torpedoing her vice-presidential bid with news of her swollen belly two years ago. Cho “heard from someone who really should know” that Sarah forced her daughter to dance so she can run for president in 2012.

Cho — who competed with Palin on the last season of the series — describes Bristol, 20, as a friend, describing the teen mom as “warm and incredibly supportive, and I think that she looks beautiful out on the dance floor.” But Margaret clearly has issues with Bristol mom and a beautiful “friendship” wasn’t enough to stop her from saying what she thinks about her television debut.

“Why did Bristol do Dancing with the Stars? I heard from someone who really should know (really should seriously know the dirt really really) that the only reason Bristol was on the show was because Sarah Palin forced her to do it,” Cho blogged this week.

“Sarah supposedly blames Bristol harshly and openly (in the circles that I heard it from) for not winning the election, and so she told Bristol she ‘owed’ it to her to do DWTS so that ‘America would fall in love with her again’ and make it possible for Sarah Palin to run in 2012 with America behind her all the way.”
