Of course Michael Bay would have a crazy suped-up vehicle that looks like it was ripped right from the set of a Mad Max movie. This badass looking ride that you see in the below video is called the Baybuster, and it’s essentially a car that’s been modified for the purpose of filming insane action sequences that involve cars flipping over and blowing up.
The Baybuster is the focus of this newly released behind-the-scenes video (via Slashfilm) from Transformers: The Last Knight, in which you’re able to feel the full force of Bay’s wildly energetic shooting style by watching what it looks like when the Baybuster is brought in to wreak havoc on the streets.

As you can see above, the modified car comes equipped with a scooper in the front that allows it to flip cars as it rams into them, effectively creating a more visually visceral moment as opposed to a regular car that just sort of bangs other cars out of the way. That’s boring. That ain’t Bay’s style.
In fact, the Baybuster has been around for years, also assisting in the epic car chase sequence in Bad Boys II. Check out a couple more videos of Bay’s own badass Batmobile below, including the final chase sequence in the Bad Boys sequel. Say what you want about Michael Bay’s movies, the man kicks it up to eleven when it comes to the way he shoots action.
