The Predator: Benicio Del Toro is in early talks to star in The Predator. The sequel, written by Shane Black and Fred Dekker and to be directed by Black, is scheduled for release on February 9, 2018. American Assassin: Our first look at Dylan O’Brien as Mitch Rapp in American Assassin reveals the young star as a young CIA agent on his first mission. Dune: Director Denis Villeneuve recently made his first sci-fi movie, Arrival, which is already winning critical plaudits ahead of its release on November 11, and he is currently in production on the untitled sequel to sci-fi classic Blade Runner. What about other sci-fi projects? “A longstanding dream of mine is to adapt Dune,” he says, “but it’s a long process to get the rights, and I don’t think I will succeed.” First published in 1965, Frank Herbert’s classic novel was first adapted by David Lynch for the big screen in 1984 (above).
