Not Even Lin-Manuel Miranda Can Get Hamilton Tickets in New Saturday Night Live Promos

We’re just a few days away from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Saturday Night Live hosting debut, and it’s getting harder and harder to wait for it.

Based on the brand new promos above, Miranda seems totally game for jokes about himself, Hamilton, and even Sex and the City

The promos show him sitting down with Cecily Strong in a cafe, where he reveals that he hasn’t been able to get tickets to see his own critically acclaimed but impossible to see Broadway show, and explains to Strong that he doesn’t always rap everything he says.

The two also have a small confrontation about Cecily’s impression of Miranda from last week’s premiere during a “Celebrity Family Feud” sketch. Miranda says he’s not mad, but then he orders Strong a double order of “I hate you!” before storming off.

However, something tells us he was kidding, given the fact that Miranda is currently using a picture of Cecily’s impression as his Twitter avatar, and tweeted, “What good deed must I have done in a previous life to merit a Cecily Strong impression in this one? #grateful #bahahahaha.”

Miranda has been documenting a bit of his SNL experience so far on Twitter, and has even been helping to promote his own personalized hashtag, #SNLinManuel.

Basically, it seems like he’s just as excited as we are.

Miranda hosts this Saturday’s new episode with musical guest Twenty-One Pilots.

Saturday Night Live airs Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBC Universal family.)
