Raavan’s special screening cancelled due to Govinda

Govinda was present at the IIFA functions in Colombo despite the fact that there was a protest from the southern film counterparts. Now, the star’s presence in the festival has landed Mani Ratnam’s film Raavan in sort of trouble ahead of its release on Friday.

As a protest of Govinda taking part in the IIFA, the South Indian Film Chamber of Commerce has chosen to not to showcase Mani’s film Raavan there. Govinda also has played a character in the film.

Govinda had attended the IIFA on request from Salman Khan and gave a dance performance that also irked the southern filmmakers. Reports are that Govinda was not happy over chopping of his role in the film
