Surprise, Surprise! Newlywed Oscar winners Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz managed to wed in total secrecy this summer and now they are reportedly expecting their first child together, Life & Style spies spilled on Wednesday.
Cruz, 36, and Bardem, 41, were married in a small ceremony at a friend’s home in the Bahamas earlier this month, a rep for the bride confirmed on Tuesday evening.
The Spanish couple met in 1992 while filming the comedy, Jamon, Jamon, which marked Penelope’s acting debut. They began dating in 2007, but have labored to keep their romance low profile. They were rumored to be engaged last year, but refused to comment on the reports.
