Coverage of the royal baby’s birth means that “Siberia” and a “Body of Proof” rerun have been preempted on NBC and ABC, respectively. Monday night programming will instead focus on news specials about the son of William and Kate.

“A Little Prince” is the “Dateline” special NBC plans to air on Monday (July 22) in celebration of the much-anticipated birth of the heir to the British throne. Natalie Morales of NBC News will host an hour-long report that takes a look at the lives of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

As for “Siberia,” the faux-reality series confirmed on Twitter that the show would be delayed for a week:

“Siberians – tonight’s new episode has been moved to next Monday, July 29. #Siberia”

“The Royal Baby: Heir to the Throne” will air at the same time on ABC, hosted by Barbara Walters in a special “20/20” edition. This replaces an encore episode of “Body of Proof.”

Considering the media hype surrounding this particular birth, more baby news is definitely a possibility in place of normal summer scheduling.
