Russell Brand comes to FX in April, Charlie Sheen’s ‘Anger Management’ in June
FX hasn’t set firm dates for its spring and summer original series yet, but the cable channel laid out a rough draft of the schedule Sunday (Jan. 15) at the TV critics’ press tour.
“Anger Management,” Sheen’s post-“Two and a Half Men” vehicle in which
he plays a therapist, will debut in June. It has a 10-episode order, and
if that batch meets what FX says is a fairly high ratings bar, it will trigger a 90-episode pickup.
Russell Brand will kick off his late-night comedy series, which is called “Strangely Uplifting,” in April. Brand is doing a set of six half-hour specials for the network.
New seasons of “Louie” and “Wilfred” will also kick off in June. We’ll keep you posted when FX announces specific dates.
