Get ready for some serious ’90s nostalgia, science fans. Bill Nye is back on TV with a new educational show, this time for adults!
Netflix announced Wednesday (Aug. 31) that Bill Nye would be hosting a new show called “Bill Nye Saves the World,” and it sounds like the perfect reboot/revival of “Bill Nye the Science Guy” for the scientific youths of the ’90s who are now adults.

Now that his core audience has grown up a little, there are a few more mature topics we’re hoping Nye decides to tackle in his new series. Of course, he can still make it accessible to kids — knowledge is knowledge after all — but we could stand to lose the cheesy graphics.
In case the science guy is still looking for ideas on which issues to tackle, we’ve got a few requests.
Global warming
Despite what Donald Trump says, we’re beyond the point of denying that global warming is actually a thing, and we’d like Bill Nye to take us back to school on this issue. Preferably with a good, old-fashioned experiment in his lab.
STDs
Hey, we’re not kids anymore, we can handle it! Truth be told, one high school health class doesn’t exactly make the world experts on STDs, and we’re eager to see how many truth bombs Bill can drop about this issue while avoiding actually talking about sex.
Pluto
No matter what NASA says, we’ll never stop calling Pluto the ninth planet. It’s just impossible to think of it as anything else, so hopefully Bill can either debunk this “dwarf planet” nonsense or explain it in a way that finally helps us accept the truth.
Vaccinations
We’re so glad Bill already announced he’s going to tackle the vaccination issue in his new series. Hopefully this will put an end to all the Facebook debates between new moms in your newsfeed.
Natural disasters
It’s no secret that Hollywood is obsessed with disaster movies, but what’s the real story behind earthquakes, tsunamis, solar flares and all those other apocalypse-bringers? Bill should probably fill us in so we can stop living in fear of going to the beach.
The great bee extinction
You’ve probably heard bees are dying, which is basically the end of the world, but why? If anyone can explain how saving the bees can save the world, it’s Bill Nye. Well, him or Captain Planet.
“Bill Nye Saves the World” will launch in the spring 2017.
