Spice Mobiles immense plans to produce one million devices from next April

By the end of 2010, we will get to see a latest wide range of handsets from Spice mobiles in India. The big plans of the brand aim to sell a million handsets from the month of April next year. The trails will be done in the next month followed by the production of phones from Spice mobile industry in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.

The company owned by B K Modi Group currently produces around half a million of handsets that targets twice of its present sales in the next year.

The handsets would be manufactured commercially by the end of this year.

The complete details were unveiled by the Director and CEO Kunal Ahooja recently at the launch of phone-S-1200 at Rs. 14, 500 featuring a 12-mega pixel camera phone. He said, “We will start trial production next month and start the commercial manufacturing following that by the end of this year.”

Right now Ericsson and Samsung are the only brands that feature12 MP camera phones. The Spice Mobile has many other impressive plans for the next year. Moreover the company is planning to open its application store very soon.
