Diagnosis: Major accessories OD. When done right, a jumpsuit can be fun and sexy. When bogged down with a wide belt, shiny booties and a quilted clutch — all in clashing shades — the look is D.O.A. If someone as gorgeous as Eva Mendes can’t resuscitate this ensemble, it’s clear that it desperately needs a style surgeon.

Prognosis: Keep the jumpsuit but excise all the accessories. Because the jumpsuit is busy enough on its own, pull hair into a ponytail to eliminate visual clutter. Add barely-there strappy sandals (like this $ 99 Guess pair), a slim but interesting belt (we love this studded Gorjana style) and streamline that clutch (maybe a simple gold number, like this $ 100 Kate Spade New York?) for a look that’s turning heads for the right reasons.
