Ten-Year-Old Gypsy Gives Birth In Spain

Much of the world watched in awe (and not the good kind) on Friday as Sky News broke the scoop that a 10 year-old girl recently gave birth to a healthy baby girl, making the preteen one of history’s youngest moms.

Her family insists that they’re delighted by the new addition, and don’t understand why the birth has shocked the country. (What.The.Eff…) The family moved to Spain just three weeks ago from Romania specifically for the birth.

“They are not like us. They marry much earlier,” said a neighbor of the family. “She’s a Romanian gypsy. I don’t think this age for giving birth is normal for anybody.”

The baby’s father is reportedly just 13.
