McNeil Consumer Healthcare plant was responsible for recall of children’s liquid Tylenol as well as other medicines. But, according to the reports, the company was also cited last year by the regulators for the similar charges of using bacteria-tainted ingredients.

In April this year, inspection from the regulators found that the manufacturer was using the drugs that had potential for damaging of children’s health seriously. Last year, an inspection was carried out on the manufacturing plant of the company and it was found that it was using bacteria called Burkholderia cepacia, which can seriously impact the people having a weaker immune system.

McNeil spokeswomen Bonnie Jacobs, however, have said that the company never used any bacteria-tainted components to make recently recalled products.
