Verizon to launch Skype for multimedia phones

Verizon Wireless has given indication that the Skype application will also be available in 3G multimedia phones in order to enable the non-smartphones people to have access to the same features of the smartphones.

He said that Skype will be accessible on more handsets and will come in Chinese and Korean also. But the application will have an improved interface and drop down menus as well as flags for international calling.

According to a statement from Verizon, Skype mobile from Verizon is proving to be a great option for military families who are stationed overseas.
