Vincent D’Onofrio, who portrayed quirky Detective Bobby Goren on the USA Network series Law & Order: Criminal Intent for eight seasons, before leaving the show in 2009 will return for the 10th and final season.
D’Onofrio last appeared on the two-part Season 9 opener that saw his character Detective Robert Goren passed the reins of the Major Case Squad to Detective Zack Nichols (Jeff Goldblum). Goldblum announced his departure from the longrunning crime procedural earlier this summer.
Eight new episodes of the second of four spinoffs in the L&O series will air in 2011 and are intended to wrap up the series, USA Network said Tuesday.
