Watch Teaser Trailers for 'Trainspotting 2' and 'Bad Santa 2'

They’re somewhat miserable and disheveled and most likely drunk or stoned, but they’re so lovable and memorable that their long-awaited sequels are finally on the way. 

That can be used to describe both Trainspotting 2 and Bad Santa 2 — two follow-ups over a decade in the making (and in the case of Trainspotting 2, over two decades).

Both sequels released teaser trailers this week, serving us reminders that they may be older (and maybe wiser), but the look, feel and attitude of their predecessors are still alive and well.

Not much is known about either movie, save for the fact that it picks up with the same characters years later. In the case of Trainspotting 2, the entire original cast and director Danny Boyle have returned.

Not so for Bad Santa 2, which boasts a different director and writers, but brings back Billy Bob Thornton and Tony Cox. We’ll miss Bernie Mac this time around, though the film has added folks like Kathy Bates and Christina Hendricks to its roster.
