Will wedding bells ring in ‘The Vampire Diaries’ final season?

Ever since Stefan (Paul Wesley) proposed to Caroline (Candice King) on “The Vampire Diaries,” we’ve been not so patiently awaiting the day two of our favorite vampires would walk down the aisle. Now, as we approach the final stretch of episodes in “The Vampire Diaries” eighth season, we’re wondering if wedding bells will ever start ringing in Mystic Falls.

Amidst deals with the devil, evil sirens and a mysterious bell that is distinctly not of the wedding variety, it feels like it’s going to take Stefan and Caroline forever to get married. Conveniently enough, they actually have forever — the perks of immortality — but that doesn’t mean fans are going to be patient enough to wait that long.

Recently, Kat Graham of all people has us wondering if the wedding that ends the series might not in fact be Caroline’s but Bonnie’s.

The actress posted a stunning photo from behind the scenes of “The Vampire Diaries” of her lounging on a piano in what looks like a pretty swanky location. Perfect for a wedding, no?

The photo is just shadowy enough to obscure any of the fun details (Darn you and your responsible, spoiler-free posting, Kat Graham), but Bonnie looks pretty darn bridal in that amazing dress, whose color we cannot determine. Is it white? Pink? A truly heinous yellow?

Bonnie and Enzo (Michael Malarkey) have been getting pretty serious this year, even jetting off to Paris on a romantic getaway, so we wouldn’t exactly be shocked if they decided to tie the knot after all that they’ve been through together.

All speculation aside, it’s more likely that this gown is simply a sleek and sexy bridesmaid dress in Caroline’s wedding, but our Bonenzo-loving hearts will hold out hope nonetheless.

Who says you can’t have more than one wedding when you’re ending a show as epic as “The Vampire Diaries”?
