Zac Efron Gaining Weight For “The Lucky One” Movie

Is that a double chin? Supposedly-single heartbreaker Zac Efron’s piling on the pounds for reasons that have got nothing to do with his recent breakup from longtime galpal Vanessa Hudgens.

The usually-svelte Efron is cutting a chunkier figure on the red carpet these days after gaining nearly 20 pounds (so far) to play an Iraq War veteran in The Lucky One, the latest film adaptation of a Nicholas Sparks tearjerker.

Zac must be pretty serious about snagging a few honorable mentions for his role. The 23-year-old has even adopted a becoming buzz cut for his role as a Marine.
