With Captain America: The First Avenger hitting theaters, Marvel Studios is well on its way to launching another blockbuster franchise. Plus, with Avengers coming next summer and a Thor sequel in the works, Marvel has silenced naysayers who once wondered if a lesser-known character like Iron Man could carry his own film. Indeed, the success of Iron Man and Thor has led to talk of movie franchises for B (and C and D)-level Marvel characters. (If Howard the Duck could get a film, so should Black Panther.)
