Emmy follows the preferences of TV and public critics – she is fond of Modern Family and Glee as well – the pack leader, nominated 24 times, is the Home Box Office miniseries about the Second World War, The Pacific.

Glee didn’t lag behind with her 19 nominations. It is noteworthy that she was 17 times nominated for drama series of AMC’s period – and Mad Men – a big winner of last year.

It was announced Thursday morning that 30 Rock, glib TV sitcom aired on NBC, got 15 nominations, those for stars Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey among them. It scored one nomination more than Modern Family.

The show was also full of great surprises. True Blood, vampire series on HBO, became a competitor for best dramatic series, Moreover, Tonight, Conan O’Brien’s show aired on NBC, was nominated for best music.

The annual Primetime Emmys which is 62nd this year will be aired live on Aug. 29 (it’ll be Sunday) on NBC. The audience will be able to watch it from 8-11 p.m. ET. Unfortunately, other time zones were put off. The host has already been chosen – it will be Jimmy Fallon.
