The reports from Europe’s Venus Express spacecraft probe shows that the neighbor of Earth, the Venus is still suspected to erupt hot lave from volcanoes.

Recently hot lava flows has been found on the surface of the planet with the help of probe’s infrared instrument.

The researchers’ guesstimate is that the volcanoes might have been blasted around 2.5 million years ago.

Suzanne Smrekar, from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, California, US said it is also possible that these areas are still currently active.
