Adobe has introduced Flash Player 10.1. It can be used for the mobile platform. It provides full support for Flash content on mobile devices such as smartphones.  Android-based smartphones will be the first to take advantage of Flash Player 10.1. Also such partners of Adobe as Palm, Research in Motion, Microsoft as well as Symbian will benefit the final version.

According to Anup Muraka, Adobe’s director of technology strategy, those who have Android 2.2 Froyo will be the first to use Flash Player 10.1. Adobe is going to unveil the new versions to webOS, Symbian, BlackBerry, LiMo, Meego as well as Windows Phone 7 platforms. All this platforms will get Flash Player 10.1 by the end of this year or at the beginning of this year.

As a matter of fact, the latest version of flash has been re-coded with a new foundation that is able to scale across Linux and Mac, Windows as well as TV and mobile platforms. Such companies as Google, Dell, Samsung, HTC, RIM, Nvidia, Arm, Intel, Texas Instruments and Qualcomm are able to support the new Flash Player.

Although the news is quite pleasant still your current phones won’t be able to get Flash Player 10.1.
