Apple has achieved a milestone in getting its 10,000th native iPad application, which is double the size of the iPad App Store. This spectacular success has come in just over six weeks. However, the number is itself a miniscule of the applications available for both Apple’s iPad and iPhone.

At the same time it has been reported that developers of non-iOS-4 applications are said to be taking longer approval times before they get their products into Apple’s App Store.

But elsewhere, new applications have been steadily increasing in terms of site records information. In July 2009, 1,669 new apps hit achieved that rose to 14,229 new applications arriving in May 2010.
