In the wake of the horrific shooting at a screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” in Aurora, Colorado, celebrities took to Twitter to express their sympathies.
The outspoken filmmaker and political activist, Michael Moore, was left speechless by the violence of the event.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on July 20, a gunmen entered a theater at the Century 16 cinema in Aurora. The suspect was said to have set off a tear bomb and then opened fire into the crowd. Police report that 12 people were killed and 38 were wounded.
The suspect, who has been identified as 24-year-old James Holmes, was apprehended in the parking lot of the theater shortly after the shooting.
