Lists! Everyone loves lists! As you already know — and if you don’t, click through, silly! — Moviefone selected the Martin Scorsese-directed ‘Hugo’ as its favorite picture of 2011. Which got us thinking: What did the rest of the entertainment media world love best this year?
In an effort to find some kind of critical consensus, Moviefone looked at critics’ best-of lists from top newspapers, magazines and websites around the country. The result? No much consensus! Also, ‘The Artist’ was pretty much beloved. Take a look at the findings below.
(Note that some publications, like the New York Times and its critics Manohla Dargis and A.O. Scott, didn’t rank year-end favorites. As such, they were excluded.)
