According to Time Warner Inc., Kathleen Parker, print journalist, and Eliot Spitzer, former Governor of New York, will become hosts of a TV show which will be broadcasted at night and will be held in the form of a roundtable discussion.
In his e-mail statement the president of CNN in the U.S. Jon Klein said that this new program will be aired at 8 p.m. at weeknights starting from fall.
According to Jon Klein, in contrast with all other channels that translate news in a force-feed way and present all events in predictable and narrow manner – CNN will use a completely different approach. The audience will be lively provided with a roundup of the most interesting issues by such outspoken and intelligent people as Eliot Spitzer and Kathleen Parker.
What concerns 51-year-old Spitzer, he became one of the most known attorneys when he worked as State attorney in New York City and collected huge sums of money from such companies as International Group Inc. And Merrill Lynch & Co. from 1999 to 2006. He was even given the nickname – “the sheriff of Wall Street”.
He lost his gubernatorial position when his membership in the Emperors Club VIP was revealed to the public.
