Erin Andrews leaving ESPN for potential deal at FOX Sports

erin-andrews-rumor-has-it.jpgESPN public relations reps Josh Krulewitz, Mike Humes and Mike Soltys announced Friday via Twitter that host and reporter Erin Andrews is leaving the network. Her contract expires this month. According to the reps, ESPN made an “aggressive offer to keep her,” and she leaves in good standing.

“She did great work for us… we wish her the best of luck on her next chapter,” reads the identical statement tweeted by all three reps.

Sports Illustrated reports that FOX Sports is actively courting Andrews to take on a prominent role in their college football coverage in 2012. FOX declined to comment, and Andrews’ rep says, “We are not in a position to discuss Erin’s next career move.”

Erin may have other things on her mind at the moment — her stalker, Michael David Barrett, who filmed her through peepholes at two hotels, is scheduled to be released from prison this Tuesday, July 3.
