It’s Family Guy, what’s not to like..however..,
Hello all,
A couple things I would like to say.
1) This whole volume to season ratio has been happening for quite some time now.
This season and the last is not the first time it happened. Mainly because Family Guy doesn’t really have an ending, so when they have enough episodes to create a ‘volume’ they will create one so they can get it to fans asap. This can be good or bad. It’s good for people like me who await each volume each year so I can continue my collection but it is bad for people just coming into the series. I for one have seen all the episodes on this Vol. 9 so I don’t really care when they split or what ever.
2)Is this the same stuff as previous seasons? Is it getting better or worse?
Well, this is what kind of had me taking a 1 star off the rating. So far, Season 10 I believe (the current one going, and Vol. 9 has the first 3 episodes on it) is a hit or miss for me. Out of the 7-9 aired, I loved a good 4 of them and the rest were garbage in my opinion. Season 9 (mainly all of volume 9) was great, with a few hit or miss episodes. It seems as Seth wanted to go big time politics in Volume 8 and the first part of Volume 9 (season 9, not season 10)and some of the episodes where absolutely horrible. They were not the same old season 1-7 (vol1-8) that I loved so dearly. However, it seems as Seth is realizing that Family Guy:Politics doesn’t work out and the new season 10 seems to be going back to the roots of Family Guy. You know the random shannengans, cut scenes, weird interactions between Quagmire and others, etc. As far as I know, Volume 9 (seasons 9 and some of 10) are good, not great, but good. It was almost a 50/50 with me, some episodes were amazing and some were just okay or plain weird.
So hopefully Vol 10 (season 10 and some of 11) will be amazing and less political involved.
