Rapper Lil Wayne was released from New York’s Rikers Island early Thursday after serving eight months of a one-year sentence on gun charges.
The “Lollipop” hitmaker began his sentence in March but received time off for good behavior. His latest album, I Am Not a Human Being, was released while he was in solitary confinement in September and hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last month. The dreadlocked hip-hopster will celebrate his homecoming with a party at an undisclosed Miami strip club on Sunday.
Uncle Bill will be so pleased!
