From Zack Snyder (“300″) and produced by Christopher Nolan, the moody mastermind behind “The Dark Knight” franchise, “Man of Steel” follows Clark Kent (Henry Cavill) who is struggling on whether to suppress his superpowers or embrace them to become the invincible dreamboat we all know and love. Here, Superman’s adversary is the uber-intense Michael Shannon as General Zod, with Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
Take a look at decidedly un-cartoonish trailer, complete with that same dreamy music from “Gladiator,” above.
“Man of Steel,” starring Cavill, Adams, Shannon, Russell Crowe, Diane Lane and Kevin Costner, hits theaters June 14.
