According to TMZ, writer Thomas Althouse said that he submitted a script entitled “The Immortals” to Warner Bros. in 1993, and never heard back from the studio.

Then, in 2010, Althouse said he finally got around to watching the 2003 films “The Matrix Reloaded” and “The Matrix Revolutions,” where he “immediately recognized similarities to his own work — including plugs in the back of characters’ necks, robot-like ‘agents’ dressed in suits, and characters trapped in a train station.”

In addition to the Wachowskis, Warner Bros. and producer Joel Silver have also been named in the lawsuit.
