Variety says that Paramount Pictures is in negotiations to acquire Darren Aronofsky’s
The General. Aronofsky (
Black Swan) will direct and produce the George Washington film, written by Adam Cooper and Bill Collage.
The trade adds that the storyline is under wraps, but they do know the script “is more of an ‘Unforgiven’-like tale rather than a straight historical drama.”
