Reliance MediaWorks, India’s fastest growing film and entertainment services company and a member of the Reliance group, and Thought Equity Motion, Inc., a leading provider of video management and licensing services, today announced that the companies are working together to offer integrated, digital “smart content” solutions in India.
Reliance MediaWorks will help its clients increase the accessibility and value of their content libraries through Thought Equity Motion’s cloud-based Video Platform. Reliance MediaWorks will support Indian film studios, broadcasters and sports bodies as they move to digital file based workflows and expand their distribution avenues across new media such as tablets, 3G, and HD Streaming.
Thought Equity Motion licenses sports, news, entertainment, editorial, and creative content to the world’s leading producers in advertising, film, television, publishing, and interactive media and works with more than 400 rights holders globally to store, manage, and monetize their libraries.
Commenting on the development, Anil Arjun, CEO at Reliance MediaWorks said, “India has witnessed a dramatic emergence of media in the past 5 years and the content availability and avenues for monetization need to become dynamic. Through our partnership with Thought Equity Motion, we bring together the next generation of integrated media services, storage, access, and delivery for content. We’ll make available to Indian media companies the world’s deepest stock footage collection and will also be able to generate new utility and monetization for local film libraries.”
“We’re excited to be working with Reliance MediaWorks in the rapidly growing Indian market,” said Kevin Schaff, Thought Equity Motion’s CEO and Founder. “Bringing together restoration and content services with our cloud-based storage and delivery platform will help content owners increase the accessibility and value of their libraries.”
Reliance MediaWorks had initially partnered with Thought Equity Motion in April 2011 to offer media and content services including restoration, image enhancement and up-rezzing from SD to HD to various global film archives and libraries.
