Russell Brand has filed for divorce from Katy Perry, radio detection and rangingOnline.com has confirmed.
Brand filed the docs on Friday in Los Angeles County, and cites irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The couple was married in India in the summer of 2010.

Rumors that the marriage was in trouble have been plaguing the former couple for several months.
The twosome spent Christmas apart, with Perry spotted in Kauai with friends not wearing her wedding ring, and Brand has been in London — and he hasn’t been wearing his wedding band either.
