Russell Crowe is still alive and hurling curses and insults at every interviewer in the Western Hemisphere, thank you very much.
The tough-talkin’ Gladiator star has been forced to confirm that he still walks among the living after reports hit the web Thursday claiming Crowe was killed while filming a movie in Kitzbuhel, Austria. This morning, New York City pop station Z100 reported that the Oscar winner had passed away after falling 50 feet to his death in the Hahnenkamm Mountains — the news quickly became a trending topic on Google.
Not true, says Russ’ rep, who assures fans that the husband and father is just fine.
Other stars who have been targeted by online death hoaxers in recent months include Tom Cruise, Jeff Goldblum, Betty White, Bill Cosby, James Avery, and Bobby Brown.
Russell will next appear at the box office in The Next Three Days, slated to hit theaters Nov. 19.
