Screen Gems has announced that principal photography has begun on Planet B Boy, starring Josh Holloway, Laz Alonso, Josh Peck, Caity Lotz and Chris Brown. The film will be directed by Benson Lee from a script written by Brin Hill and Chris Parker.

Inspired by the award-winning documentary, Planet B Boy, the film is about an all-star American b-boy crew

We learned earlier that in the original script for ‘Rise of the Planet of the Apes,’ Will — the scientist played by James Franco — was supposed to perish at the end of the film. That’s sad.
