Hi-yo, Silver! After years of gestating, the first trailer for Gore Verbinski’s “Lone Ranger” has arrived.
The most-recent revamp of the Americana classic stars the caroonishly handsome Armie Hammer as the masked crusader and a very made up Johnny Depp as his trusty companion, Tonto.

Jerry Bruckheimer tweeted the first photo of the project, which showed off a very different looking Tonto. Depp told EW that he had a clear vision of the revamped sidekick: “I’d actually seen a painting by an artist named Kirby Sattler, and looked at the face of this warrior and thought: That’s it.”
